Manufacturing Process

The thermal process involves burning elemental phosphorus in excess air to produce phosphorus pentoxide (P₂O₅), which is then hydrated to form phosphoric acid. This high-temperature method produces acid with purities typically exceeding 99%, significantly superior to wet-process alternatives that involve treating phosphate rock with sulfuric acid.

Purity: Thermal process acid achieves purities of 75-85% P₂O₅ content with exceptionally low levels of heavy metals, fluorides, and other impurities. This makes it ideal for applications requiring stringent quality standards.
